Vertical Wine Cellar

The Wine Cellar's compact design gives the consumer more counter space, yet holds an entire case of wine without stacking! And with it's adjustable temperature of 48° - 68°F, it is ideal for either white or red wines.

By using thermoelectric technology powered by the Peltier effect, the Wine Cellar™ features no moving parts, no Freon refrigerant, no noise, a compact size, and a very long life. Also, because there is no vibration, sediment is not constantly being stirred up in the bottles so it's perfect for wine storage.

The Peltier Effect

The Peltier effect occurs when you take any two members of the thermoelectric series and connect wires made of them to form a circuit with two junctions. In the presence of a current a temperature difference between the junctions is produced. Discovered by the physicist Jean Peltier in 1834, and has a twin function that works in the opposite direction called the seebeck effect. There have been fridges made use this process.
